Die spanische Rennstrecke MotorLand Aragón ist an diesem Wochenende Austragungsort der FIM Supersport World Championship, dem drittletzten Meeting des Jahres.

Marcel Schrötter kennt die grossartige 5 Kilometer lange Rennstrecke, die etwa zweieinhalb Autostunden südwestlich von Barcelona liegt, wie seine Westentasche. Nach dem Rennwochenende in Magny-Cours vor drei Wochen, das der 32-jährige Deutsche mit einem soliden zweiten Rennen beendete, ist es sein Hauptziel in Aragón, den Grundstein für einen respektablen Abschluss einer nicht einfachen Saison zu legen.

Live-Übertragungen der Supersport-Rennen gibt es an diesem Wochenende wie gewohnt auf digitalen Plattformen wie dem Online-Portal des österreichischen Senders «ServusTV On», dem «Eurosport Player» und auf der offiziellen WorldSBK-Website geben, wo alle Sessions des Wochenendes live übertragen werden. Letztere ist allerdings kostenpflichtig und verfügt über einen englischen Kommentar.

«Aragón ist natürlich eine Strecke, die ich gut kenne und auf der ich immer gerne fahre. Deshalb freue ich mich darauf, dorthin zurückzukehren, und bin fest entschlossen, dass wir den Sprung zurück in die erste Verfolgergruppe hinter der Spitze schaffen werden. Damit will ich sagen, dass ich wieder Platzierungen in der Nähe der Top Fünf erreichen will. Meine Vorbereitung auf die letzten Rennen der Saison war gut, und ich bin froh, dass sie wieder in einem normalen Rhythmus ohne lange Pausen dazwischen stattfinden. Ich bin hochmotiviert, mein Bestes zu geben, und werde mich darauf konzentrieren, meine Aufgabe zu erfüllen.»

Spain's MotorLand Aragón circuit is hosting the FIM Supersport World Championship this weekend, the third-to-last meeting of the year.

Marcel Schrötter knows the magnificent 5-kilometer track, located about two and a half hours' drive southwest of Barcelona, like the back of his hand. After the race weekend at Magny-Cours three weeks ago, which the 32-year-old German finished with a solid Race 2, his main goal in Aragón is to lay the foundation for a respectable finish to a difficult season.
